A Property Photo Shot List Template

A shot list is the set of images you must capture in one session, so nothing is forgotten and nothing gets reshot. For a project it should cover four groups: exterior and facade, shared facilities, show units, and material detail. Turn it into a checklist that the photographer and sales team sign off on site before wrap, so no frame is missing back at the office.

Split the shot list into four groups

Grouping lets the crew work through the shots by light and location, instead of running back and forth and missing key angles.

• Exterior: full facade, entrance, project signage, and a blue-hour frame
• Facilities: lobby, pool, fitness, garden, co-working, and sky lounge
• Show units: a wide of every room, kitchen, bathroom, balcony, and window view
• Detail: materials, hardware, taps, flooring, and joinery that shows the grade

Note the use and ratio for each shot

A good shot list says not just what to shoot but where each image will run and what ratio it needs, for example a horizontal facade for a billboard and a vertical lobby for an IG story. With that noted, the photographer composes with crop room from the start.

On-site checklist before you wrap

Before packing up, review three things together: exposure is right on every frame, every room on the list is captured, and files are backed up to two drives. Ten minutes here prevents a far costlier reshoot.
