The Royal Residence — Type L

A grand 'Type L' show residence where classical European bones meet layered, jewel-bright styling — a double-height reception crowned in crystal, and quieter rooms dressed for slow afternoons.

The reception rises through two storeys, its mezzanine wrapped in slim white glazing bars and mirrored glass that catch a gold sputnik above and a crystal chandelier below. A curved cream sofa curls around low stone tables, banked with domed red roses that draw the eye toward a formal dining table beneath a long crystal-and-brass fixture. Behind it, a black-and-white toile mural of woodland scenery lines the wall, framing a wine display set into deep red marble.

Elsewhere the house is styled for entertaining. A games room pairs olive-velvet chairs and a marble chess table against backlit brass cabinetry and dramatic green-veined marble, while a neighbouring lounge lines its shelves with trophies and a wine cabinet, softened by a pair of black-and-white bouclé chairs. In the family living room a sea-green sectional carries rust and moss cushions; the breakfast room stays bright and calm, with a round marble table, tweed and cream chairs, and an organic glass-bubble chandelier over a waterfall island.

The private rooms trade drama for hush. The master suite sets a channel-panelled headboard wall aglow with cove light, dressed with a tan leather chaise, a houndstooth ottoman and a spotted monochrome rug, a mirrored display cabinet catching the morning. A garden-view sitting room keeps things gentler still — deep-green velvet shell chairs, a low cream sofa and potted fig trees framed by a wall of blind-filtered windows.
