Villazzo 11

A private Phahonyothin villa styled as a layered jewel box, threading art-deco geometry, green marble and teal velvet through room after room of living greenery.

The ground floor unfolds as a sequence of grand rooms. In the double-height salon, a green-marble feature wall framed in brass anchors a deep sectional, ivory tub chairs and a single olive-velvet armchair, while a mezzanine of grey-and-gold chevrons lifts the eye. Nearby, a walnut console and a black glass table carry sculptural brass objects and towering white orchids, set against floor-to-ceiling glass and the garden beyond.

Formality arrives in the dining room, where a tiered crystal-and-brass chandelier hangs above a glossy timber table, teal velvet chairs and a book-matched marble wall. The table is dressed for an occasion — ostrich feathers, tapered candles, gold flatware and monochrome china — while a faceted deco sunburst panel and fan-patterned cabinet reinforce the period mood. Throughout, brass fretwork screens, green marble and a bronze leaf sculpture add glint and weight.

Quieter rooms hold the same palette in a lower key: a teal-velvet den with a marble drinks niche, mirrored doors and a timber ceiling fan, layered with leather, satin and patterned cushions. At the rear, a garden room lined in black steel glazing and a living green wall gathers two grey banquettes around a brass-footed table, where terrariums, air plants and a bird-of-paradise stem bring the greenery indoors.
