What must leave the frame
The small everyday objects you stop noticing are exactly what make a photo look messy. Walk the room as the camera sees it and remove these first.
- Charging cables, remotes, and trailing power strips
- Towels, toothbrushes, soap, and bathroom toiletries
- Magnets and notes on the fridge door
- Bins, shoes, and laundry baskets
Set light and curtains for an airy room
Many Bangkok condos face strong sun, so open sheer curtains to diffuse the light, switch on every fixture to kill dark corners, and if the room mixes warm and cool bulbs, standardise on one so skin tones and surfaces do not shift colour.
Add details that give the photo life
Once the room is clean, add a few styling pieces to tell a lifestyle story. A single plant, tonal cushions, a coffee tray, or fruit in a bowl help buyers imagine their own life in the space. Just avoid adding so much that it turns cluttered again.
How long does pre-shoot styling take?
A one-bedroom condo takes roughly one to two hours, or up to half a day if it is very cluttered. Styling before the photographer arrives keeps the shoot flowing without stopping to tidy.
Do I need to rent styling props?
Empty units benefit from rented furniture and props to give scale, but occupied homes can usually be restyled with existing pieces, topped up with a plant, cushions, or a few small accents.
